Regula 8703 is designed as a mobile complex in a protective case. It consists of the following major parts: a laptop (model is selected at customer’s request) and built-in high resolution optical document reader. The workstation can be used as portable (powered by a battery pack) or stationery (powered from the AC mains) equipment. A specially reserved space for WLAN & VSAT module is provided.

The workstation document reader enables to capture images in white, infrared, ultraviolet, transmitted visible (white) illumination and to read data from RFID tags. The workstation operation is controlled via Regula Document Reader SDK.

Operation

1. The optical reader automatically detects a document in the scanning area of the device.

2. Document images are captured in different illumination modes. At the same time data is read from RFID tags and smart cards.

3. Regula Document Reader SDK processes data.
