Video Spectral Comparator 8000
The VSC8000 provides users with an array of techniques for examination and authentication of all types of document. Infrared, hyper-spectral imaging and the systems integral spectrometer may all be used to detect the use of multiple inks on a document, and in many cases, establish the order in which different inks were added to a page.
Features:
-
SRI Super Resolution Imaging: Unique to the VSC8000, Super Resolution Imaging (SRI) is an optical system providing excellent clarity and image resolution of documents up to A4/Letter size.
-
Precision XY Stage: A motorised XY translation stage, with simple on-screen controls, allows fast and precise positioning of documents at high magnification.
-
Microspectrophotometer: Non-destructive spectral analysis of documents to identify differences in inks and paper formulation. Absorbtion, Reflectance, Fluorescence & Transmitted spectra are captured in real time and displayed on-screen in a simple graphical format.
-
Multi-spectral illumination: Directional, multi-spectral light sources from UV through the visible spectrum, to IR can reveal details that are normally invisible to the eye, increase image contrast and excite document security features.
-
Hyper-Spectral Imaging: An advanced technique for the discrimination of inks. Incremental images of documents are captured across a broad spectrum. A false colour overlay highlights spectral differences.
-
User-Centered Design: At each stage of the VSC8000 design process, attention has been given to the requirements of the end user. Many of the systems new features come as a direct result of user feedback.
