The VSC-QC1 enables 12 authenticity checks to be carried out on a passport or ID card in a matter of seconds, combining ease of use with rapid examination and data capture.

The VSC-QC1 is ideally suited to front desk applications at airports, immigration control points, and identity checking by large employers and financial institutions.

Having placed a passport or ID card face down on the VSC-QC1 document plate the system performs a customisable autoscan routine capturing images under UV, Visible and Infrared illumination sources while at the same time detecting and decoding Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), Invisible Personal Information (IPI), 1D and 2D barcodes, and e-chip data.

Images and data are displayed as thumbnails that can selected for full-screen examination and compared with authentic security documents by installing the relevant database (see Accessories).
